DARA took part in Folkemødet 2026, bringing together researchers,universities, foundations, policymakers, the private sector, and other keystakeholders to discuss the future of research, talent development, andacademic excellence in Denmark.

During Folkemødet, DARA hosted two sessions in the tent of University ofSouthern Denmark (SDU). The programme included a presentation of DARA’s visionas Denmark’s newest national research academy, as well as an informalconversation about PhD training, research careers, collaboration, and thefuture of Danish research.

Folkemødet also provided an opportunity to connect with researchers andpartners and to highlight the importance of collaboration and supporting thenext generation of researchers.
