DARA at Science Cluster Day 2025

DARA participated in the Science Cluster Day2025, hosted by the Novo Nordisk Foundation earlier this week.

This annual event brought together grant holders and key stakeholders to recognize impactful research and strengthen connections across projects, disciplines, and institutions. As a newly established academy, DARA greatly valued the opportunity to engage with Denmark’s outstanding scientific communities.

Conferences such as Science Cluster Day play an important role in building strong partnerships across the research ecosystem. By bringing together diverse perspectives, they create a space for knowledge sharing, new collaborations, and the exchange of ideas that can accelerate scientific progress.

Science Cluster Day is a valuable platform for connecting people and ideas across disciplines. The theme this year, on how mission-driven research and curiosity-driven research are not mutually exclusive but rather go hand in hand, is perfectly aligned with DARA’s blend of both Open fellowship calls and our Thematic calls, and the formation of a jointcommunity of our grantees,” said Managing Director Philip Hallenborg. “The notebook from the meeting came back full.”

We see these interactions as an essential foundation for future partnerships and initiatives, and we look forward to continuing the conversations started at the event.
