The Code of Conduct is be based on a set of overarching principles designed to achieve the academy's goal of being diverse, inclusive, and open. All governing bodies and their members are required to adhere to the Code of Conduct, which guides all actions and decisions within the academy.

All decisions and actions must be conducted with fairness, honesty, and transparency. Members of the governing bodies must avoid any actions that could compromise the integrity of the academy or lead to conflicts of interest. All interactions should be respectful, recognizing the value of diversity in opinions, backgrounds, and experiences. Discriminatory or prejudiced behavior of any kind is strictly prohibited.

All decisions—especially those concerning the allocation of scholarships—must be made impartially, based solely on merit and free from favoritism or bias. Members of the governing bodies must avoid situations where personal, financial, or professional interests conflict with their responsibilities, and must promptly disclose any potential conflicts of interest. It is forbidden for members to participate in decisions that could personally or financially benefit them. As such, members cannot engage in decisions if they have a close professional or personal relationship, such as a current or past supervisory role or co-authorship with the supervisor or the student. It is the responsibility of the governing bodies to uphold the Code of Conduct, and violations may result in disciplinary actions, including removal from the governing body.
